Abra Automation Ltd derives its name from the play on the word “abrakadabra”, capturing the essence of the seamless and almost magical functionality we provide in automation.
Founded by Jonas Hedlöf in 2017 under the name Abrakadabra, the company began as a solo venture. By 2021, we evolved into Abra Automation Ltd., reflecting our growth and expanded capabilities.
In 2024, a Swedish limited company was founded to meet the customer demand on the Swedish market.
With extensive experience across a diverse range of industries, Abra Automation is committed to delivering tailored automation solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
At Abra Automation, we pride ourselves on providing innovative, reliable, and customized automation solutions that empower businesses to achieve their goals.
To this date we have had the privilige to host three examination workers from the university on Åland and several trainees and summer workers.

Our headquarters is located in Mariehamn, Åland, providing a central base for managing operations and customer relations globally.

All parts of society plays a key role in progress for the future, either if it is in your local community, environmental or on a global scale. Abra takes its share making the world a better place now and in the future for us, our children and all species.
Barnsligt Rf
Barnsligt rf is a non-profit association that began operations in 2010. The association’s support is directed directly to children in hospital pediatric wards throughout the country and to child welfare institutions. Barnsligt rf donates craft kits to children in collaboration with companies and private individuals. All support goes to the children in the form of tangible products. We make product donations four times a year.
Jomala IK
Abra is a strong supporter to Jomala IK, our community sports club.
JIK’s activities include football, volleyball, floorball, athletics, orienteering, skiing and sports fun.
The club’s goal is to get children and young people to participate in physical activities from an early age and to operate in Jomala. The club’s home arena is the Jomala municipality’s sports facilities Vikingavallen, Vikinga gård and Vikingahallen. Currently sponsors youth section age 2017.
Internationell affärsutveckling

Abra automation has been granted support for international business development. The support is provided through the Åland Structural Funds program with support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project involves internationalizing our ability to reach customers and assignments. The scope involves creating the prerequisites for reaching new customers and markets through market & target group analysis. With these analyses together with a business plan, the idea is to build a functioning organization around international sales.
The project will be implemented between September 2025 and February 2026.
På svenska
Abra automation har beviljats ett stöd för internationell affärsutveckling. Stödet sker genom Ålands strukturfondsprogram med stöd från Europeiska regionala utvecklingsfonden (ERUF). Projektet omfattar en internationalisering av vår förmåga att nå ut till kunder och uppdrag.
Omfattningen rör att genom marknad- & målgruppsanalys skapa förutsättningen för att nå nya kunder och marknader.
Med dessa analyser tillsammans med affärsplan är tanken att bygga upp en fungerande organisation kring internationell försäljning.
Projektet genomförs mellan september 2025 till och med februari 2026.
